Grammy mailed a package to Alyssa and inside there were two black ballet leotards. One for Alyssa and one for her friend Alora. The girls danced and twirled in their matching leotards almost daily and I finally decided it might be time for a dance class.
Although Alyssa is a rough and tumble type girl she also loves to feel pretty and was quite graceful dancing around the house. We signed up for a weekly ballet class last September and here are just a few of her learning moments.
One must always stretch before they dance, says Ms Cherrie....
They wear colored bands on their feet so they know wether to tap or point their right or left toe...
Once in a while there was a little crash during class...only because the girls were SO focused of course! Here the girls are dancing around like ducks and they both ended up on the floor in a heap. 
Alyssa smiles at herself happily in the mirror on her way out. Mommy smiled too!
Nothing could be cuter than watching three year olds attempt ballet.
Too cute that little ballet girl is! Now she is on to soccer.. maybe more her speed :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks so pretty in her ballet tutu!! What a cutie!! Every little girl should try Ballet!! :) I think it will be cute to put a pic of her in her tutu and a pic of her in soccer gear together!
